Attendance Information

Regular attendance is absolutely necessary if you are to be successful in your class work.

Please limit absences by scheduling appointments outside of school hours when possible.

All absences are to be reported to the attendance secretary. Mrs. Stinemates may be reached by calling 715-258-4140. An answering machine is available on this line 24 hours a day. Should parents fail to report an absence, within 5 days of the absence the student will be considered truant.

Illness Alert - When to keep your child at home

A parent call does not automatically excuse the student.  In order for an absence to be excused, the reason must fall in one of the excused categories listed at the right.

Pre-Arranged Absence Days:

Parents may excuse their child from school for a maximum of 10 days throughout the school year for reasons other than what are listed on the list of excused absences. Included in the 10 days, will be absences for deer hunting and family vacations. The law clearly states that these absences must be pre-approved in order for them to be excused by the school district.  Therefore, they need to be approved prior to the day they will be absent. Please send a note in advance of the absence or call the main office to obtain a pre-arranged absence form.

Medical Pre-Arranged Absence Days:

Medical appointments are excused absences.  If you know of the appointment ahead of time, please contact the attendance secretary so we can round up any work your child may miss.  In addition, coaches need to know about these absences at least one day ahead of time in order for your child to participate in either practice or games that day.
