PTG Meeting Minutes

January 15, 2013

• Members in Attendance- There were 11 people in attendance
• Meeting Minutes- There was no minutes from the last meeting to present.
• Treasurer’s Report- Balance in the PTG account is $19,719.24- Box Top total is
$2540.06= $17,179.18
• Old Business-
Campbell Soup Labels- Jenny Ryan is the coordinator for this. Mr.
Erspamer will ask teachers for input on what to purchase with the Labels for
Education points.
Santa’s Workshop- It was noted that having it in the gym was a better
location for it. Nicki Novak will be the coordinator for this event next year. She
is looking for someone to help with this. Carrie from the Liquidators gave PTG a
donation of $400. Jenny Ryan noted to ask parent for gift wrap donations.
•Tax Exempt- Jessica Krueger and Jenny Ryan have been working on
getting PTG tax exempt.
•Family Fun Night- Cancelled
•Box Tops- Confirmed amounts with Missy Durrant. She presented
PTG with another check to deposit. After deposit the total for box tops will be
$4037.26 The distribution of funds will remain the same as last year. Teachers
will be given a certain $ amount to spend as they wish for their classrooms. PTG
will reimburse when presented with a receipt.

• New business
•Mrs. Fenton- Spoke about the upcoming Iditarod. There will be a pep
assembly on Feb. 15, 2013.
•Elizabeth Kcrmar- Presented a request to purchase banners for the
Iditarod. PTG granted her $100.
•Sue Abrahamson- Spoke about the Iditaread at the library. This will
take place during the Iditarod.
•Computers for Education- Nicki Novak is the coordinator for this event.
The fundraiser starts Jan 25th.
•Spring Photos- Date of this event is April 19, 2013
•Mr. Lemke- He presented a request for fund for Chrome books. This is
a laptop that can be used with Google. The cost of one Chrome book is $279.
There was no specific $ amount requested. PTG tabled this until next PTG
meeting.

PTG Meeting Minutes

Oct 9th 2012

  1. Members in Attendance-  There were 13 people in attendance.
  2. Meeting Minutes- Minutes were hand out from the last PTG meeting
  3. Treasurer’s Report-  We have a balance of $10,400.09.  $7536 is promised for Ipads
  4. Old Buisness-
  1. Walkathon- Deposits of money will be made directly to bank by Pam Gusmer.
  2. Family Photo Night- Nov. 9th- A sign up sheet will go home with students.  Giving families a choice to choose 3 times slots.  Hours to have pictures taken are 4-9 pm.  Families will be able to view photos on a thumbnail print that will be sent home within the 1st week of photos being taken.  Then families will have the opportunity to make purchases from that.  Chain School families are being invited to participate in this as well. One sitting fee per family.

  1. Family Fun Night- The date will be Jan 25, 2013
  2. Box Tops- Discussion about getting more involvement in this program
  3. Pat Hunter-  made a request for $17 for daily schedule form.

PTG Meeting Minutes

Sept 18, 2012

  1. Introduction of Offices/Members in Attendance.  There were 11 people in attendance.
     
  2. Handed out minutes from Aug 21, 2012 meeting.
  1. Treasurer’s Report/ Banking information-  We had not report of funds in the PTG account.  Mr. Erspamer requested that Jessica send him the updated total.
  1. Old Business.
  1. Walk-A-Thon-  Emily Nicolai reported that everything was set up for the walk a thon.  She was in need of few volunteers.  She was also looking for an adult animal costume that could be worn during the walk a thon.  Nicki Novak will advertise on Facebook.  Nicki will also request that Tammy Watkins-Polmatier sends Emily names of people who would be willing to help with walk a thon.
  1. Family Photo Night – Connie from Lifetouch presented the Family Photo Night.  Families would receive free 8X10 with $5 sitting fee.  At the time of the photo shoot families would have the opportunity to purchase packages for an additional price.  November 9th is the possible date for this photo shoot.  PTG will revisit this again in Oct.  Someone will check on pricing from someone local, and share at the next PTG meeting. 
  1. Sam’s Club Card-  Sam’s Club card has been purchased.  PTG will not be getting a credit card.
  1. New Business
  1. Library Book Authors.  Sue Abrahamson request that student be able to wear baseball hat the day the baseball author comes.
  1. Tax Exempt.   Jessica Krueger will be looking into this further. 
  1. Family Fun Night- Chain PTG has volunteered to put this night together.  The date for this event will be sometime in January 2013
  1. Kindergarten Request for money.   Request the PTG fund the bare books that use in the classroom as keepsake for the students.  The request was made for $300. It was granted
