As the proud principal of Waupaca High School, I am thrilled to welcome you to the Home of the Comets. Waupaca High School is a special place, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of a community that is so committed to the success of our students.
Our school is an integral part of the Waupaca School District, and we are dedicated to its mission: "To prepare all students for their future by providing a safe, high-quality, and engaging learning environment in partnership with our families and communities." At Waupaca High School, we live this mission every day through our values:

We are a comprehensive high school with nearly 650 students and a staff of highly effective, dedicated educators. Our teachers and support staff work tirelessly to create a challenging and supportive academic environment where every student can thrive. We believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom, which is why we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities. Our students can choose from over 15 different sports teams and more than 25 clubs, including Student Council, Forensics, FFA, Robotics, HOSA-Future Health Professionals, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), Drama, and numerous other clubs. These opportunities allow our students to explore their passions, develop leadership skills, and build lasting friendships.
At Waupaca High School, we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence and preparing our students for a lifetime of success. We are proud to be a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) school, where we proactively teach and recognize positive behaviors to create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all. Our staff utilizes a system of clear learning targets in every class, ensuring that students always know what they need to learn and how to demonstrate their understanding.
We believe in the power of dual enrollment and offer a number of exciting opportunities for students to earn college credit while still in high school. Through our partnerships with FVTC and UW-Oshkosh, students can take Dual Credit and CAPP (Cooperative Academic Partnership Program) courses, giving them a head start on their post-secondary education and saving families money. WHS staff offer a wide variety of AP (Advanced Placement) courses in subjects such as art, computer science, history, biology, chemistry, calculus, psychology, and more. Our Start College Now/ECCP program has students currently attending UW-Stevens Point and Fox Valley Technical College.
Our commitment to preparing students for the future is exemplified by Waupaca Works, our district-wide Academic and Career Planning program. Through Waupaca Works, we help students align their high school coursework with their interests and future career goals, connecting them with local businesses and providing hands-on learning experiences that enhance their skills and knowledge.
I invite you to learn more about the incredible opportunities available at Waupaca High School. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Go Comets!
Respectfully,

Jenifer Erb, Waupaca High School Principal
